My Inspiration (Last updated 2/12/07)
Nature has always awed me. The subtle soft curves of a flower’s petals, the blue jay as it rests on a branch, and wispy clouds in a rainbow colored sky all hold a very special place in my heart. Since childhood, I have always felt close to the outdoors and its splendors. I understood even at a young age that damaging even the smallest of insects would disturb the cycle of life. I have always respected and continually admire what our planet has to offer us, and it is my passion to express my love for nature through my art.
My work is inspired by many different artists and styles. My flower paintings often have a Georgia O’Keefe feel to them, and my landscapes have said to been similar to those of the romantic artists of the past.
My favorite artists: Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, Roy Lichtenstein, Georgia O'Keefe, Hokusai...
